I have chosen some of my favourite work and the pieces that I feel reflect my style, the way I work and my interests best.<br /><br /></div><div align="center"><strong>Observational Drawings</strong> </div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 277px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5562789892558425218" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_mqM6IIehjcc/TTL_7zIUDII/AAAAAAAAACs/u5c7YNe6Ubg/s400/DSC_0678.JPG" />Detailed pencil drawings, I love really delicate and fragile pencil drawings and in this case with the subject matter it reflects the textures of the skulls.<br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 268px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5562780889321648498" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_mqM6IIehjcc/TTL3vvdZMXI/AAAAAAAAACk/XpLCETQFh1Q/s400/DSC_0682.JPG" /> <p align="center">I use a lot of textured surfaces in my work, I think they give drawings and paintings a depth and make them more interesting.<br /></p><div align="center"><strong>Timed Life Drawings</strong></div><div align="center"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 250px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5562780884040576018" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_mqM6IIehjcc/TTL3vbySbBI/AAAAAAAAACc/cgT7qvYa-jY/s400/DSC_0689.JPG" />10 minutes, Done in Biro<br /><br /><br /><div align="center"><div align="center"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 310px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5562780875753558130" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_mqM6IIehjcc/TTL3u86gkHI/AAAAAAAAACU/TFODhha6uuw/s400/DSC_0688.JPG" /> 20 Minutes, Done in Conte' Crayons<br /><br /><br /><strong>Paintings from 'Life and Death' Project</strong><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 274px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5562789900930673906" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_mqM6IIehjcc/TTL_8SUabPI/AAAAAAAAAC0/fE0X7Ds1yrY/s400/DSC_0684.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 266px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5562780865787840434" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_mqM6IIehjcc/TTL3uXyfx7I/AAAAAAAAACE/xU7nw4Rkao8/s400/DSC_0700.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 268px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5562839641608339954" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_mqM6IIehjcc/TTMtLkyGwfI/AAAAAAAAADE/BIo4S-piQ2M/s400/DSC_0705.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 260px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5562839636353930098" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_mqM6IIehjcc/TTMtLRNW03I/AAAAAAAAAC8/uVSig477epY/s400/DSC_0704.JPG" />Observational Ink paintings of various different animal skulls and a cast of a human skull.<br /><br /><strong>Expressive skull paintings done in black acrylic using a pallet knife.</strong><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 290px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5562772464659916578" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_mqM6IIehjcc/TTLwFXJg5yI/AAAAAAAAAB8/U87zKG0mInc/s400/DSC_0692.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 272px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5562772461762309170" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_mqM6IIehjcc/TTLwFMWq7DI/AAAAAAAAAB0/CMciAKInfC8/s400/DSC_0697.JPG" /><br /><br /><strong>Sketchbook Pages</strong><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 212px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5562780871571051170" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_mqM6IIehjcc/TTL3utVUkqI/AAAAAAAAACM/zaJNVk0uBXM/s400/shoe.jpg" /><br />The shoes above I made out of pages from old books. They are presented along side one of the pages of research that I carried out to go with it. They are part of a paper garments assignment that I chose to base on the artist Jennifer Collier.<br /><br /><div><div><div><div><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 268px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5562769736936627122" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_mqM6IIehjcc/TTLtmllmm7I/AAAAAAAAABU/2Iuw6QjBYQc/s400/DSC_0662.JPG" /> This is a sketchbook page from the current project that I am doing titled 'Human Behavior' which involes a range of portraits showing various different characters and emotions. This particular painting is in the style of Jenny Saville. </div><div><br /><br /></div></div><div><div>For as long as I can remember, I have been really passionate about art and I cannot see myself doing anything else. I don't think there is anything more exciting than being completely lost in a project and flooded with ideas. I love the satisfaction of admiring a finished painting when you have put so much time and effort into it. I love the way art gives you the freedom to let your imagination run wild. Aswell as art I have a huge interest in Music, Singing, playing guitar and Baking. I use these hobbies as an outlet from work and the pressures of everyday life.</div><div><br />I want to do this course because I want to extend my art knowledge and develop as an artist. I feel that this course would suits me because I want to be pushed outside my comfort zone and learn as much as I possibly can aswell as gaining more experience in the area. As a career I would like to become an art teacher so I think that this course will give me the right skills to progress and achieve my goal.<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /></div><div><br /><br /></div><div></div></div></div></div></div><br /></div></div></div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0
